Boxer
The Boxer is a medium-to-large, muscular breed known for its playful spirit and boundless energy. They are patient and protective with children, earning them the nickname "Peter Pan of dogs" because they remain puppy-like well into adulthood. Boxers are alert, dignified, and self-assured.
History & Origins
Boxers were developed in Germany in the late 19th century from the now-extinct Bullenbeisser, a dog used for hunting large game. They were among the first breeds employed as police dogs in Germany. Boxers gained worldwide popularity after World War II when returning soldiers brought them home.
